Founder Profile
Anna Falconer
Anna is a passionate Learning and Development leader dedicated to helping people and teams perform at their very best, especially in high-pressure, high-profile, complex international environments.
She has built capability at scale for globally recognised organisations including British Airways and Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, and played a key role in preparing teams for some of the world’s most complex events including the Olympic and Paralympic Games, Commonwealth Games, and European Games. Her work is grounded in a clear outcome: confident, capable teams ready to deliver under pressure.
Anna brings a unique blend of hands-on operational experience within Organising Committees, combined with strategic insight from her consultancy work with the International Olympic Committee. This gives her a deep, practical understanding of the learning needs of major events at every stage - from strategy and planning through to operational readiness and delivery.

Why Pomegranate?
The name Pomegranate Learning is inspired by the pomegranate, the national symbol of Azerbaijan, representing growth, resilience, and collective success.
It also reflects one of Anna’s most meaningful achievements: leading the learning design and delivery of the Baku 2015 Games Academy programme. Through this work, 180 graduates were developed and empowered with the skills, confidence, and capability to help deliver the inaugural European Games, creating a lasting human capability legacy for Azerbaijan.
That legacy continues today. In fact, Pomegranate Learning’s website itself has been designed by Baku 2015 Games Academy graduate Aykhan Khalilov, a powerful reflection of the long-term impact of investing in people and delivering learning the right way.
